Hi, I’m Veronica, and I’m the artist and surface pattern designer behind Dancing Leaves. I live in Switzerland with my two children, my husband, and a rather nosy cat who likes to be part of everything. My path into pattern design began with Fine Arts and eventually led me to a PhD in Visual Arts and Education—though what has shaped my work most is something simpler: a lifelong habit of paying close attention to the natural world. The way light falls on a leaf, the quiet order of a garden, the unexpected beauty of a wild plant growing where it shouldn’t—these are the things that get me. My practice brings together traditional techniques and a contemporary eye, and it grows out of a belief I genuinely hold: that surrounding ourselves with beauty, in whatever form it takes, changes us a little. For the better, always. It means a lot to share this with you — I hope something in these pages stays with you.
